Rainer Böhm
Pianist/composer Rainer Böhm (b. 1977 Ravensburg, Germany) began piano lessons at the age of four. He was a member of the German National Jazz Orchestra from 1998 to 2000. After studying at the Mannheim University of Music and the Performing Arts, he received a scholarship, traveled to study at Queens College, New York where he achieved his master’s degree. His sojourn in New York, gave Böhm the opportunity to work with such internationally renowned musicians as Ingrid Jensen, Randy Brecker, Jeff Hirshfield and Ari Hoenig. He is a long-time member of the group L14,16, and has worked with Dave Liebman, Johannes Enders and Rolf Kühn, et al. Rainer Böhm teaches at the universities in Mainz and Mannheim.
